Born in Tampa, Florida, Corinne was raised locally dancing with recreational studios since the age of five. At the age of twelve Corinne joined Suncoast Academy of Dance’s competitive dance team, Art In Motion, of which a requirement was to take ballet. It was here that her love toward the art of dance blossomed. Within her six years on the competitive team she was given many opportunities to perform at conventions, competitions, and summer intensives, such as Joffery Ballet’s NYC summer intensive. Upon graduation from high school in 2013, Corinne spent the summer taking classes at Tampa Bay Ballet, TBT’s official studio, to keep up with technique prior to college. This is when she first heard about the company, setting a goal to audition post graduation.
Corinne continued her dance career at Florida State University as a team member and conditioning chair of the student run organization Seminole Dance Force, a company member of Dance Tallahassee Performing Company, a founder and Vice President of Seminole Tap Troupe, and a “non-dance major” performer within the FSU School of Dance. These programs gave Corinne the opportunity to perform, take classes, and choreograph contemporary, modern, jazz, hip hop, tap, and ballet. Though dance was not her degree, she spent summer 2016 studying ballet and modern abroad with the “Dance in Paris” program offered through the School of Dance. In May 2017, Corinne graduated from Florida State University with a BS in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Child Development. She now works as an ACSM certified personal trainer, conditioning coach, group exercise instructor, and dance teacher..
After four years of taking an occasional drop in class with the company, Corinne is excited for the season as an apprentice with the opportunity to perform in her first classical ballet.
